US$21.2 million in projects approved across three provinces

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) approved four investment projects across three provinces on 31 July with a total investment value of more than US$21.2 million, adding more than 1,500 jobs to the market.

The Prestige Hospital Co., Ltd, was permitted to build its 100-bed world class hospital in Sangkat Tonle Bassac Khan Chomkamorn, Phnom Penh. With an investment of US$7 million, the project can create up to 344 jobs.

New East Solar Energy (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, was also given the greenlight for its US$6.5 million solar installation factory in Por Senchey district Phnom Penh, creating about 220 jobs.

Cambodia Jingu New Building Materials Co., Ltd. was permitted to go ahead with its US$4 million brick factory in Sihanoukville which will create about 317 jobs.

Nat Best (Cambodia) Electrical & Home Appliance Co., Ltd. was also permitted to go ahead with an investment project to construct an electrical installation factory in Takeo Province hoping to create about 629 jobs.

Recently, the CDC has also approved six construction material investment projects in Sihanoukville with a total investment value of more than US$36 million. (Read more)
