NR10 Connecting Battambang to Koh Kong 50% Complete

As of mid-May, construction of NR10, connecting Battambang to Koh Kong province, is approximately 48.77% complete, according to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport on 18 May.

The Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport HE Bong Bun Hourn confirmed that the construction work is still going smoothly despite the pandemic.

During the site inspection, HE Bun Hourn also urged construction companies and technical consultants to closely monitor the construction work to ensure it follows technical standards to ensure long-term usage.

Stretching over 199km, the road links Samlot district in Battambang province to Koh Kong province passing through Veal Veng district in Pursat province. The project is being constructed with an investment of over US$188 million, which is a mixture of a Chinese loan and Cambodian government budget.

With ground broken in March this year, the road construction is scheduled to be completed by 2023, taking a total of 48 months. (Read more)
