Chinese Firm MCC Shen Kan Wins Bid to Construct Four Major Roads in Cambodia

Shen Kan Engineering & Technology Corporation (MCC Shen Kan) has won a bid to construct four major national roads with a total length of 270km in five provinces, including Pursat, Koh Kong, Kampong Speu, Kampot and Takeo, according to an announcement by the company on 24 November 2020.

The four national roads include National Road 41 (approximately 95km), National Road 31 (approximately 52km), National Road 33 (approximately 53km) and National Road 1551 (approximately 67km).

The four roads will be paved as second-level highways, while the company will be in charge of studying the project and doing the construction. However, the company has yet to announce the budget and timeline of construction.

MCC Shen Kan has been actively involved in the construction sector in Cambodia. After planning and studying, MCC Shen Kan will ensure the completion of these roads in accordance with the high quality and high-efficiency standards.

Last October, the government recently decided to build and restore three more roads in Kampot province, including National Roads 41, 31 and 33. (Read more)
