CDC approves three investment projects worth over US$166 million

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved investment projects of three firms worth over US$166 million, including a five-star hotel business in Sihanoukville, a solar panel manufacturing in Kampong Speu and a solar power station in Battambang.

According to the official Facebook page of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) on 22 May, 2020, the three projects include:

Construction of a five-star hotel by YONG WANG (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD worth USD$ 107.9 million, creating 858 jobs for locals. This hotel has 700​rooms,located in Village 4, Sangkat No. 4, Sihanoukville province.

The second project is a solar panel manufacturing facility,constructed by PROSPECT ENERGY (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD, with a total investment of approximately US$7.9 million, located in Prey Pongrovillage, Roka Kaoh commune, Kong Pisei district, Kampong Speu province, creating 298 jobs.

The third project is the construction of a solar power station by RISEN ENERGY (CAMBODIA) BATTAMBANG CO., LTD with a total investment of US$50.9 million, located in Souphi village, Anlong Run commune, Thma Koul district, Battambang Province, creating 50 jobs.

In February, the new construction of a US$61.3 million five-star hotel and commercial center in Sihanoukville was approved and scheduled to be finished early in 2021. (Read more)
