20 Investment Projects Proposed for Kampong Speu Province

At least twenty new investment projects, mostly clothes and footwear factories, have been proposed to be built in Kampong Speu province in 2021, according to Kampong Speu Provincial Governor Vei Samnang.

Governor Samnang told Construction & Property Magazine today that the investors are currently proceeding with their plans, but some of which are being disrupted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier this year, those private firms said they will come in 2021. However, this might change as the COVID-19 situation is still uncertain,” said HE Samnang.

He added that these 20 investment projects will generate approximately 50,000 to 60,000 jobs.

To date, the province is the home of over 200 investment projects, 153 of which are operational with the rest under construction. 120,000 jobs are being generated from those investment projects. (Read more)
